| ATTENTION PARENTS OF THE CLASS OF 2009 Our students are now seniors. With the prom behind them, we must plan the project graduation. This job falls to the parents. For the event we will need to raise $10,000 +. The past few years this has been raised easily through a silent auction at a football game and a senior dinner in February. Laura Haygood has helped to start the ball rolling. She will book days on the district calendar and will place a deposit on Malibu Grand Prix. (Students were polled and this was the choice site) Mrs. Haygood will organize a meeting at the begining of the school year. We need to gather items for the auction and plan the dinner. If you have any ideas, she is available all summer. Her contact information is:

| NHS THEATRE NEWS The theatre department will host a Drama Boot Camp in August. This is an intensive session specifically designed to prepare for the fall production of Alice in Wonderland. By spending two full days before school starts on the production, we can alleviate some of the stress once the school year begins. If you will be in high school next year and wish to be in the fall show, you need to come to the camp August 14 & 15, 8AM to 5PM. Contact Mrs. Haygood ASAP. | Trustee Election A Trustee Election will be held November 4 to fill five (5) seats on the Board of Trustees. Two of the seats are for two-year terms; three of the seats are for four-year terms. The deadline to file as a candidate is 5 P.M. Tuesday, August 26. Forms may be picked up at the NISD Central Office.
