Knowledge is of two kinds:
we know a subject ourselves,
or we know where we can find information upon it.

Samuel Johnson

Philosophy
Every person is gifted with traits to fulfill a purpose on this earth and should be afforded the opportunity to become a contributing member of society.  Each new generation builds upon the inherent knowledge and teachings of its predecessor to insure not only its survival, but its progress.  It is the responsibility of all ~ family, educators, friends and individuals in the business community ~ who touch the lives of a child of any age, to provide guidance toward the discovery and development of these talents that they should not be wasted or misused, but should be realized for their integral worth in the scheme of life.
Professional Objectives
I strive to imprint upon the lives of others a genuine influence that inspires them to discover and develop their talents, learn to utilize information literacy skills with modern technology, and combine the the results to create effectual products, that they may experience a sense of pride and accomplishment that will establish a legacy which insures continued success for future generations.

Personal Note ~
Especially Significant Influences in my Life
I was adopted when I was a baby.
My daughter is a type I diabetic and became ill a few years ago with recurrent pancreatitis.
This prompted me to search for my birth families in an attempt to uncover any medical history that might have offered any explanations or answers.  I found both my maternal and paternal families, which included my birth mother, my 96 year old (at the time) paternal grandmother, 4 half sisters and one half brother, several nieces and nephews, and some very nice aunts and uncles.
There resides in my heart a very warm place for my birth mother to whom I will forever be grateful for making the most unselfish sacrifice any mother could in the best interest of her children.  Although I am left with many interesting stories, experiences, and explanations that have helped me to understand some things about myself and my children, my love and appreciation for the family that adopted me, those who raised me and with whom I grew up, has only been reinforced and strengthened.  These are the memories I truly cherish and the family I hold most dear to my heart.
