Counselor Comments
I want to stress to my students that they can do or become whatever they set their sites on. Don't fear taking risks and applying to the school of your dreams. We will research together what it takes to be admitted to the university of your choice. Just because we are at a small rural school doesn't mean that we cannot have Harvard or Brown candidates. Finding a good match at college, vocational school, apprenticeships, or the armed forces takes planning and time. With everyone working together, no dream or goal should be out of reach for our students at NHS. Recent Comments

January 2, 2002:
I am still having Senior conferences and ckecking on testing and credits for them. Parents, please urge your Senior to register for testing if they haven't done so already. Many of the Seniors have sent their applications, and some have received acceptance letters. I have information on St. Phillips' School of Nursing and several apprenticeship opportunities also. Please call for an appointment if you have concerns or questions.
I will be visiting with Juniors this semester about SAT and ACT test dates and setting up Junior appointments to discuss career choices.
I gave the Sophomores the results of the PLAN test they took in October. Also, Juniors received the results of their PSAT. I hope each student shared this information with you. Thank you for your continued support.
