The TEXAS Grant Program is a program that is setup for Texas residents in need of financial aid, for college, who are eligible.

The TEXAS Grant Program does not have its own application. Eligibility is determined by the financial aid officers after reviewing information you provide them via the Free Applications for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA) and/or other documents.

To apply for a TEXAS Grant, contact the financial aid office of the college you plan to attend. Find out their deadlines and procedures, and make sure they receive all the necessary information in time to consider you for all available financial aid - including the TEXAS Grant.

The TEXAS Grant Program can only go to students with Financial need who have completed the recommended or advanced high school curriculum and graduated in December 1998 or later. It is difficult at times for the college to determine whether you completed the advanced or recommended curriculum, so you can help the process if you make sure your high school transcript clearly shows the curriculum you completed. If it does not, your counselor will need to provide the college financial aid officer a letter which confirms that you have met this requirement.

A full set of the program's eligibility criteria are included below.

We hope this information is helpful to you.
